Expenses
Record what you paid suppliers for each booking and your general company costs, so you see your real net profit.
Without expenses, the numbers only show your sales. Once you record supplier payments and company costs, Flyby can work out your real Net profit.
Expenses are available to owners and managers on the Growth and Pro plans.
Two kinds of expenses
| Kind | Examples | What it affects |
|---|---|---|
| Supplier payments | Airline, hotel, ground services | Recorded on the booking and compared with item costs |
| Operating expenses | Rent, salaries, marketing, software | Deducted from net profit |

Suppliers vs operating expenses
Airline supplier, Hotel supplier and Ground services count as supplier payments. Every other category counts as an operating expense on the Overview.
The Expenses page
- Total expenses, Supplier payments and Operating expenses for the period.
- By category: tap a category to filter by it.
- Search by vendor or details.
- Export CSV to download the list (Pro only; on Growth the button shows a lock, Export CSV (Pro), and links to Settings → Plan & billing).
- Edit or delete any expense.
Tip
Record expenses as they happen, even small ones. Your net profit on the Overview will be much closer to reality.
